Curb Appeal: Making the First Impression
As a home owner, I am aware of my front yard and surroundings. Does the front of my house make an attractive appearance or does it look unkept? As spring draws nearer it is time to clean out the weeds growing in the flower beds, driveways, walkways and creeping through the lawn. I have witten down on my to do list: new flowers, bright and bold. I do suggest not overpowering the yard with flowers. Less is more and add plants or shrubs for balance .
Take a hard look at your front door. Is the paint or varnish starting to fade/peel away? You will need to revarnish, paint or invest in replacing the door. Your local hardware store has a variety or look up your nearest exterior doors company.
Change out the fixture lights, address numbers and clean exterior windows. Topping off the front porch, sweep all areas, and replace the welcome mat. Your curb appearance only enhances your home and others will appreciate the time you spent on it.
